My dad built a dollhouse for me

Nothing fancy

He was a farmer after all

I dismantled it and brought it to the US

The kids played with it

I photographed it

I dismantled it and put it aside

Years later my dad passed away

I found the photographs

They said something else

Spaces and slivers of light

Space transformed and distorted

Light as passage

From childhood to adulthood

From life to death

Spaces constricting or opening up

As we grow up.
